Ms Tonie Yuen, an expert designer both in Western and Eastern floral arts, has practiced floral design since the 70s. She was trained as an Ikebana teacher in the Tokyo Sogetsu School, as a Dutch design demonstrator in Europe, and as a floral design commentator and garden designer in the United States. She was the pioneer in introducing professional floristry training to Hong Kong.

袁導師於七十年代起研習花藝﹐留學於美國加州, 歐洲荷蘭, 和日本東京著名花藝學院, 薈萃東西方插花藝術精華, 並為首位引進專業花藝課程至香港的導師。 袁導師歷任加州艾花美插花藝術學院課程總監, 哈佛大學校園插花設計小組導師, 九龍區文藝協會導師, 楊勉恒花道學校導師, 電視台插花及鮮花配搭節目主持人, 國際花道評委, 香港各專業插花協會之插花比賽評判, 並經常在內地和香港花展作花藝示範。
| 近期心愿 | 袁導師近年更多次為內地大型花藝比賽擔任評判, 及為內地報章和花藝雜誌撰文﹐致力為國家推廣現代專業花藝。她於二零一零年榮獲民政事務局局長頒發嘉許獎狀, 表揚袁導師多年來努力不懈推動香港花藝及積極參與每年一度的香港花卉展覽。 |
